For a long time I had the problem with CS:GO that it crashed randomly with my ATI 7770 card. Windows printed the message that the graphic driver had to be recovered. I tried reinstalling the game and graphic drivers. It did not help at all. The reason for my computer is that the graphic card overheats when playing with an unlimited framerate. I thought about buying some ultra noisey fans… naah..
You might be able to solve this problem easily if you just limit your framerate to something like 100 using the console command.
Now your graphics hardware can chill and you won’t be disturbed by random game crashes. This fix might work for NVidia Cards too.
